Gal 1:8-9

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

That verse wipes out the Mormon faith doesn't it!
The angel Moroni was telling fibs if it ever existed.

Joseph Smith once said that there were men living on the moon who dress like Quakers and lived to be nearly 1000 years old, a bit like the 900 foot tall jesus claim.

I have no sympathy with those people who believe in the Mormon nonsense, no matter how much we try to reason with them they prefer to believe a lie. It looks like that Paul the Apostle didn't have much patience with people who preach a false gospel, neither should we!

Teifion said...

It certainly does. We all make mistakes, but to claim that our God, YHWH is a seperate being to Jesus and the Holy Spirit is to try and corrupt the immutable nature of Elohim. How many people teach that God has a body though? And that the Holy Spirit has a body?

'The word became flesh and dwelt among us'. Jesus is God's physical body - it's why He's called 'the only begotten son', He always was, He always will be.

If we deny the Co-eternal, Pre-existant, united glory of Elohim (I use this word because it is a plural form in the hebrew, and used in Genesis 1). I am becoming that I am becoming (YHWH-YHWH), God is one and yet more than that. He can hardly describe Himself to us because we are so limited, while He is limitless - ageless - without equal.

Teifion said...

Sorry, that last paragraph should say the following:

"If we deny Elohim, then we deny Christ. We deny our salvation."

Elwyn,

Thats rude about the 900 foot Jesus and thus comparing Oral Roberts to a demon possessed leader of a world wide cult.

That upsets me. Again I will say it. Roberts has accomplished more than you and me combined. So flippin what if thats what he saw in a vision. Read Revelation for goodness sake thats even more whacked out.

i don't mind jokes but comparing roberts to a demon possessed man is unacceptable. If you weren't trying to do that then I'm sorry, but please whether you agree with Roberts or not please don't ever join his name with Demons. He's a man of God.

Joe is right, we shouldn't be comparing demonically inspired things and human things. I would like to know what Oral Roberts said about the 900 foot Jesus, and what this apparition told him - to me that would be the crux of judgment on it (i.e. was he telling the truth or lying or decieved). Lying is human nature, decieved is demonic.

But I do feel I have to argue with the 'man of God' statement. All the redeemed are men of God, there is no distinction here, no duplicity in the giving of God's gift of salvation. No-one is more a man of God than any other saved person.

1 John 2:20-21
But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

1 John 2:27
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

I am just stating that he is not a sinner or someone who is chock full of demons but a man who say that he works for God.

yes we are all men, or women, of God if we are in Christ. I wasn't trying to split hairs just trying to disassociate him from a demonized fraud that has led so many people astray.

I do have great sympathy for them as the devil got them before the Christians did and now satan has them blinded and deceived. I hate satan and all of his work. What a liar.

Teif you's right when you say that we are all men of God. just want to make sure that one of our brothers isn't counted with demons.

I am sorry Joe if I have upset you. I didn't mention Mr Roberts name I was pointing out the error between claims of mere men. It wasn't a joke!

God has no favorites and it's your opinion that Mr Roberts has accomplished more than little old me.You don't know what I have accomplished neither do I until "THAT DAY" where all will be revealed.

900 foot tall Jesus claim?
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
The apostle John saw Jesus as recorded in (rev 1.9-20)
"dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash round His chest. His head and hair were white like wool,as white as snow, and His eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In His right hand he held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged
sword. His face was like the sun shining in all it's brilliance.( When John saw Him, He fell at His feet as though dead) But Jesus said to him fear not I am He. write down what you have seen.
No mention of 900 foot Joe!

Mr Roberts sincerity and godly character is no defence either only the truth will set us free. We must test everything purporting to be of God by His Word, in spirit, nothing else. Deception always leads to deeper things, worse sin, away from the truth we will then wander away, get lost and perish. So I do not find it helpful to hear believers like Mr Roberts saying things that does not match up with the Word of God.

Joe again I am sorry if I have upset you. If you prefere it and find my comments offensive to the men you trust I will refrain from posting comments on you blog.

Teif, If you find my comments unhelpful to the purpose of your blog I will not be offended if you ask me to refrain also from posting.

Teifion said...

No offence taken - by either. And none intended by myself. It is important to try not to cause dissention, and so maybe for some it is difficult to try and keep Paul's exhortation to the corinithians

Chapter 5:12-13
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

In verse 11 the word 'swindler' (to cheat a person out of money or other assets - to obtain by fraud or deceit) is used. If someone lies about something that happened to them, and obtains money from that it is swindling. Elwyn is doing the right thing here in defending the integrity of the body - it is not a witch hunt and the sins mentioned are to do with apostasy (i.e. purposfully commiting evil).

The best thing someone could do if they have swindled is what Zacchaeus did in Luke 19:8. If Oral Roberts lied about vision/prophecy and obtained money by it he was swindling. That is as simple as it gets. But the only thing being achieved here is upsetting those who value Oral's work - so then that is not so good.

What do you guys think, is that portion of 1 cor 5 applicable today?

Part of the Jam Jar Group said...

Yes it is but I think that it was referring to a person in the church of Corinth who would not repent and was continuing to sin. Paul, in his apostolic covering over the church, was instructing the church as to what to do in that situation.

I may be wrong but i think (without my BIble to hand) that is what he is talking about.

Joe...

Teifion said...

You're right Joe, the initail problem was with sexual immorality - but then Paul goes on to state the 'kind of thing' the corinthians should be doing instead of boasting about themselves and feeling proud. "Purge the evil person from among you". Trying to equivocate with the text is not dealing with it. The context is plain in this case.

Elwyn Jones said...

Interesting word "Dissention" Teif.
Disagreement that causes troble within a group!
So because I love Joe he can read this information for himself and come to his own conclusions.

A christian research organisation makes these important comments: "This list of claims and promises is a very serious matter indeed. Several questions beg to be asked: Is the `900-foot-Jesus' a lying, seducing, evil spirit? If it was really Jesus, why did He not fulfill His promises? Why did not God take Roberts home when he failed to raise the money before March 1? Or was it another of Roberts' false pretenses to raise money? What happened to all the money that was raised? Will it be returned to those who gave in sincerity?

"More importantly, several doctrinal issues are at stake. For example, is there any truth in the charismatic claims of continuing visions, revelations, and prophecies? We believe the saga of Oral Roberts and his City of Faith puts the whole charismatic movement in its proper perspective--that there are many false prophets within."

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:20-22

Teifion said...

I think though the role of a prophet in the new testament is different to that in the old. Joe mentioned this on one of Ben's blogs, and I think he's right. You see the method of purging the evil from among the isrealites was to stone them, in the new testament it is the example of handing the person over to satan for the destruction of the flesh - effectivley excommunication until repentance?

So we see that, while still being important, the integrity of the prophet is maintained through the working of the Holy Spirit and not through the works of the flesh (see the example of 1 kings 13).

I guess the question is this, Elwyn are you ready to kill that man because you believe he is a false prophet? If not, why not. And what do you propose to do?

These are questions that I asked myself - and Joe has been most gracious in telling us how important it is not to judge others because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We gave plenty of false prophecies - should we now die? By jewish law yes. But we are now under grace.

I think the issue in question here is - what do we do?

I would say that in this case it is up to God to judge. I know I will never give the man money, and will be very cautious about any of his teaching.

All scripture is profitable for reproof and teaching - even the old commandments of killing false prophets. But they sometimes killed anyone else who did wrong back in them days too. This is precisely what Jesus was dealing with when they came to stone that woman who was in adultery (mind you the bloke wasn't there).

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. The bible says as new covenant people that we do not give heed to people who tell fibs. But if the man repents, or if it is a one off thing it is a different matter. I mean if you died without confessing a sin would you go to hell?

Part of the Jam Jar Group said...

Just a continuing point.

I don't buy into the never accepting all a man's, or woman's, teaching because I disagree with a part of it.

For example there are certain things that I obviously do not agree with you guys on. BUT, there are other things that i take to God in prayer because i think you may be correct on certain things.

I take that with any preacher. i don't agree with all of Roberts, Hinn, Bonnke, Copeland, Meyers, and many other more. But it doesn't mean that God can't use them to speak to me. Truth is truth wherever you find it. If the Holy Spirit wants to use someone He can.

This keeps me from being too judgemental of a ministry. My bench mark is this - Is It Grace or Is It Law? -

For example. I agree with Sowing & Reaping it is an OT and NT teaching. However i don;t agree that it is the only way to get answers to prayer. When the 'Faith Teaching' becomes legalism then thats all it is. I will only sow if I feel the Holy Spirit telling me to. The point I'm making is that I don;t have to in order to get.

I'm already blessed in Christ, why pray for blessing?

Thats how I feel. So Teifion what happens if the Holy Spirit told you to give money to Oral Roberts what would you do?

Thats a heart issue right there. I like it when God tells me to do things like that because it shows me where I'm holding 'Predujice' against someone. or where I'm holding unforgiveness. hee hee.

Joe...

Teifion said...

Perhaps the issue is 'if the Holy Spirit told me to give money would I listen'?

I guess the answer is I don't know because I can be pretty dense sometimes :)

But on the other hand we do have benchmarks, we do have wisdom. I may not always know exactly what God wants me to do because I think there's somethings he expects us to figure out for ourselves - to use theold analogy of having a watch.

First one I had I asked my dad every five minutes what the time was - and even when it told me it made no real difference! lol. But as I got older I started to realise that I could do this by myself. Then it was learning how to use that knowledge - i.e. I have to be here by x hour and so on.

So I'm not sure I would be required to give money to a man who earns $80,000 a year cos I earn a lot less, and some people less than that again. What makes him so bloomin special? The answer is 'nothing'. Don't get me wrong, I agree with good business sense and I'm not plugging communism, but I have a bit of an issue with peddaling the word. A worker is worth his wages, not a wage is worth a worker. Can't put the cart in front of the horse.

Does that make sense? I know I garbled a bit

Elwyn Jones said...

Excellent teif,
I am absolutely not prepared to kill any person false prophet or not because it is against the law of man and God. But surely the verse indicates what God thinks of false prophets and how serious it is. So here goes with my thoughts.

False prophets will be known by their fruit this will be revealed in their character and conduct.
In their teaching.
In the effect of their teaching.
It is made obvious in failed prophecies.

We as christians must totally reject and dismiss them as deceivers because the problems comes when we are in a position of restoring people affected that were involved and influenced by these type of men.We should have nothing to do with them.

If christians were in a fellowship and the elders said that they are not against any one bringing a prophecy but then told if they do bring a prophecy and it is prescriptive that prophecy will be written down and if it doesn't come to pass the elders will remind them of their words and encourage them to repent and seek forgiveness from the fellowship and God. But the judgement from the elders would be that they will never be able to prophesy again in the fellowship, but we will forgive them. I wonder how many people would be eager to prophesy if that was the standard.

If any of us dare to speak for God we must be ready and willing to live by it because we are speaking to others as God's represenatives.
To teach and defend what we know in our own hearts as only surmising and speculation, is to commit the sin of the Pharisees. (matt 23v4.
God does not take kindly to people who say things in His name and it does not come to pass. actually I believe it's dangerous. And may God grant His mercy upon Mr Roberts for his false prophecies.

Elwyn Jones said...

May I ask you a question without being tiresome to you especially Joe.

You both believe that the Holy Spirit (God) speaks to you. You have heard that audiable voice of God.

I have been a believer in Jesus Christ since I was 8 years old when my mam and dad made me go to sunday school ( I am so glad that they did)I remember praying to Jesus when I was a little lad asking him to look after my two sisters even though they used to always tell our mam when I used to get into trouble which means that I would have a pasting off my mam and be sent to bed early.

I have never heard the "Audiable voice " of God in 46 years of being a christian as some men claim. Never!
If God talks to us in an audiable voice like a lot of christians claim, how will we know it's God, how will we be able to prove it? What if it's just our imagination or wishful thinking? What if we only say such things to draw crowds or to feel important? What if the voice we think is God is satan instead, after all satan also knows the Bible (matt4.5-7) "It is written" must be balanced by again it is written.

It's just an honest question that I have always thought about. I believe that God talks to me only through the Bible,I pray to him and he talks to me through His Holy Word.I believe in the sufficiency of the Bible.

Teifion said...

I've never heard an audible voice, I have never been 'slain in the spirit'. But as to 'deep calling unto deep' I would say yes. I have had a spiritual experience which trancends all understanding - brief moments of peace when my life was falling apart, moments of feeling loved by a God who leaves me in awe of Him. We are a spiritual people, a chosen priesthood, the temples of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 21:14-15
Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

Our salvation is a work started in the spirit, and even without the bible we can still experience a christian life, led by the spirit of God. It's perfectly possible for the Holy Spirit to teach us through other means. But the scriptures add a trustworthy means of measuring our lives. The Hebrew word for 'cannon' means 'measuring line'. Do you remember this song?:

"I love you Lord, and I lift my voice,
To worship you, oh my soul rejoice.
Take joy my King, in what You hear.
Let it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear."

If we are not getting time to pray, and sing songs of worship and express our spiritual, 'creative' side to the Father, then we do miss a very important part of our lives. The relationship, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Part of the Jam Jar Group said...

Elwyn,

I have only once heard the audiable voice of God, or maybe it was an angel, I'm not sure. I have, however, had a few pretty scary experiences with angels.

There are twice as many angels as there are demons so it should be natural for us to engage in the angelic. The word even encourages us to entertain strangers just in case they are angels. I'm still waiting for that to happen.

You need to chill out about Roberts. You don't show much grace for a believer. You talk as though you are 100% correct, as if there is no way that you could be wrong. You don't even know the man. Isn't that arrogance? But, I guess if you call yourself a sinner then thats the sort of thing that sinners do.

I will stress again the need to not 'Judge' unless we be 'Judged'. Treat others (not just believers, but unbelievers) as you would have them treat you. Jesus said that.

Joe...

Teifion said...

It's quite interesting, that statement 'judge not lest you be judged' and then Paul's 'purge the evil from among you. God judges in the world, you judge in the church"

Is this a contradiction? No.

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God".

So why do we judge? Those who seek to glorify themselves do not know the Father - or at the least have forgotten who they are in God. There are times that these people have an affect in the body (better to have a millstone slung around his neck than cause one of these little ones to fall). Then the judgment is necessary. Judgment = action.

Anyone who lies for gain and says it is of God is a swindler (just like annanias and saphira). As a steward of my finances I will not give him my money anymore than I would a confidence trickster, no matter how deluded they are. For me that is the bottom line.

Part of the Jam Jar Group said...

Thats not how scripture has it.

We are only allowed to judge the 'fruit' of any person's life. If theres no fruit then that speak for itself. If there is fruit then we can judge it.

So I could say that if a person prophesies and it doesn't seem to have come true, then that speaks for itself. I don't need to judge it, the decision is already made up. Remember when I quoted "We see in part and prophesy in part".
Since we arer using Roberts as our example look at all the things that he claims God told him to do, and he actually did do them. Why is it that you can get a 'Thd' at a University and then go out onto the mission field and help preach the Gospel to those who haven't heard the Gospel.

There are STRICT laws governing Ministries over here so that people are not exploited. They hve to submit everything. You can read their financials yourself if you just visit their web pages. Its just a matter of opinion. But as I will always push Be Gracious. God is the ONLY perfect judge. If it is of Him you can't stop it, if it's not then let Him deal with it.

I mean there are men and women who just would flat out disagree with their theology but they are changing things in His name. And guys I'm writing this comment in a basement in St Charles MO, and you guys are in Galon Nuch and Heolgerrig, (or Abercabbage, depending on the time of day). What are we doing about anything except sounding high lofty ideas, that could be wrong.

We're not facing matyrdom. We're not battling witch doctors. Its easy to have a safe, logical, sound belief when you haven't got a group of Muslims wanting to chop your head off. I have been reading about Martyrs recently an some of these guys I cannot grasp their logic, but God saved pain when in the fire so that they worshipped God. In some cases, historially recorded fact, they pick their head up after having it chopped off and continued to preach the gospel, or finish the prayer they started. Thats the God that I serve. He transcends reason. As Teifion touched on. Moments where you can't really put into words what you're feeling because it s 'spiritual'.

'What's fruit?' is the more accurate question.

Joe...

Teifion said...

Hi guys, can't chat long - I would say fruit is the fruit of the spirit.

Gal 5 stuff
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

And yeah, it's easier to be a christian here - sometimes. Persecution actually strengthens the church, but here it's easy to be laxadasical. So we study, we share, we do the things that those who are persecuted won't get the chance to do. And above all we strive for the unity of the faith

Teif, My fragile self esteem is taking quite a battering here with words of arrogance, judgemental, unkindness,900 foot tall people and the lack of love towards these mighty right-eous men who are sinless.
I believe you to be a man of fairness even to a sinner such as I who has been redeemed by God of the Bible who is righteousness and truth. So I would be obliged if you will permit me to defend my postion by you reading the following information and coming to your own conclusion.
ORAL ROBERTS' FALSE PROPHECIES

Media Spotlight has documented a long list of Oral Roberts' claims in a special report from which I quote.

1960: Roberts claimed that God had told him to make His healing power known throughout the earth. This report appeared in Charisma magazine in May 1987: "In 1960, Roberts believed God spoke to his heart and said:

`Raise up your students to hear My Voice, to go where My light is dim, where My voice and My healing power is not known. To go even to uttermost bounds of the earth. Their work will exceed yours. And in this, I am well pleased."

Media Spotlight says that to date, none of Roberts' students' work has exceeded his, at least as far as his publicity has revealed.

1977: Roberts said he had received a vision from God telling him to build the City of Faith. He later claimed to have seen a 900- foot-tall Jesus who told him that the vision would soon be realized and that the hospital would be a success. The City of Faith opened in 1981.

1983: Roberts announced that Jesus had appeared to him in person and commissioned him to find a cure for cancer (Time, July 4, 1983).

Media Spotlight says there has been no cure for cancer found at the Oral Roberts University or anywhere else.

1986: Roberts said God had told him, "I want you to use the ORU medical school to put My medical presence in the earth. I want you to get this going in one year or I will call you home. It will cost $8 million and I want you to believe you can raise it." (Abundant Life, Jan./Feb. 1987)

January 1987: Roberts said God had told him he had not sent out any medical missionaries. In order for him to do that, he had to raise $8 million by March 1 or God would take him home. Roberts said the money would be used to provide full scholarships for medical missionaries who would be sent to Third World countries. He made the appeal in his TV program "Expect a Miracle" of January 4, 1987.

He said $3.5 million had been raised and all he needed was $4.5 million before March 1 that year.

April 1, 1987: Roberts announced that he had raised $9.1 million--$1.1 million more than needed. Of the money raised, $1.3 million was given by a dog track owner [which, like horse racing, is a gambling center], Jerry Collins.

November 1987: Roberts announced that the City of Faith medical clinic will close in three months.

January 1988: Roberts canceled the university's free medical tuition program despite his claim that God had told him to make the medical school a world outreach program.

March 1988: The medical scholarship fund went bankrupt. Students were required to repay scholarship funds at 18 percent annual interest if they transferred to another school rather than stay at ORU medical school and start paying the high tuition.

September 1989: Roberts decided to close the medical school and the City of Faith hospital to pay off debts.

"18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.
20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded [a] to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.

24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,
"Cursed be Canaan!
The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers."

26 He also said,
"Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem. [b]

27 May God extend the territory of Japheth [c] ;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be his [d] slave."

28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29 Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died"

We just have to be careful that we do not uncover our brothers. God is never pleased with us when we do that. I can't remember the saying but I think that it goes something like this - "The church is the only place where they bury their wounded" -
Yes he may have been off on a few things but he who is without sin cast the first stone. All I'm saying is please do not judge. I just read in a book that "WE BECOME WHAT WE JUDGE". I have taken it to heart to make sure that I'm not judging you guys too.

Jesus referred to fruit as that which Glorifies His Father. Slagging off another brother in Christ, however in the wrong he may be, does not glorify Him. It also goes beyond the fruit of the Spirit. If somebody claims to have a gift of healing then what do we check for? Fruit. Let those who get healed, by Jesus through a man or woman, testify.

If someone who claims to move in miracles then again we judge the tree by its fruit. In this case, Miracles.

Now, this one is a curve ball. forget your visions of a 900 foot Jesus Check out Todd Bentley's account of being taken up into the 3rd heaven and actually talking to Paul the Apostle. Wow!!!

We are going to hear more about these things in the coming days and we are going to see more 'exraordinary miracles'.

Thank you Joe for attempting to educate me about biblical interpretation, yet the verses you offered undermined your argument.
I am interested to know if they taught you in the Bible College that you attended the importance of context?. Context is absolutely critical to properly interpreting Bible verses, we must all correctly handle the Word of Truth.

My Ang as pointed out to me that it's none of my business if you are able to take seriously such amazing idea's as Oral Roberts claim to have seen a Jesus 900 feet tall! It seem's that people are able to believe almost anything these days. Personally I prefere to be rational and those words reasonableness, reality and using my thinking faculty to be alert and watchful to keep on that pathway of God's Truth.

Teifion, God's Word properly taught in it's context will liberate the one who hears and does that Word, I am sure you will agree. The Word mishandled places people in bondage.
God has given His Word to be the one and only objective test of all ideas, opinions, teachings, thoughts and actions and I believe that God has made His Word so efficient and plain as a means of expressing His will that all true Christians may confidently appeal to it's plain meaning as the final authority in all disputes.

I get so sad when our charismatic friends believe that the Bible is only part of God's communication process. it seems they think that God uses the Bible plus teachers directly gifted with knowledge and insight. Yet some of these people are unethical and use exaggerations, generalisation, extremism, excesses, worldliness, shallowness, phoney claims and gimmickry and when we examine their claims in the light of God's Holy Word we are made out to be the bad guys. There is something terribly wrong!

It's hard to try and comment on this subject. I don't understand how it is possible to disregard the mormon story (in all it's obvious deceit), and then in the same breath believe 'tokin the ghost', mysticism and astral projection.
These faith healers are no different to mormons because they both propogate a lie, one is obvious, the other more subtle because of the appealing to the flesh.

Canaan was lookin at his dad's meat'n'veg. The hebrew word there for uncovered actually has a darker, more sinister connotation - this means that Canaan might have been doing something else. Noah's sin was personal, he was not leading astray, he slipped up. Canaan was the one who made the problem a part of other people's lives.

A teacher will be held doubly accountable. They lead others astray. You might as well be chasing the 'dragon'. What is next, a bit of gold dust and barking?
